Ellen Pau is an artist, curator and filmmaker based in Hong Kong. She made her first short film "The Glove" in 1983 while she was studying at the Hong Kong. She co-founded Hong Kong’s media art collective, Videotage, in 1986, and is currently the founding director and curator of the Microwave International Media Arts Festival. Pau’s works have been exhibited in numerous biennials and film festivals worldwide. In 2001, she represented Hong Kong at the 49th Venice Biennale. She was the curator of the Media Art Survey exhibition "Digit@logue" at Hong Kong Museum of Art in 2008. From 2013-2018, she was a member of Hong Kong Art Development Council and Interim Acquisition Committee at M+. A Retrospective Exhibition of Ellen's 30 year's works was presented by Para-site in December 2018.
