Statement

‘If capitalism is the goal of a city to expand, it will not respect the life/livelihood. In order to create more spaces for doing business, the space of history and neighborhood has to destroy. Spaces, therefore, lose its own power of gather and the meaning of humanity, history and politics.’

- Translation of 《東亞城市空間產生》 Jackie Kwok

Hong Kong is a place that economic benefit is the first thing to concern. Due to the impact of globalization, people's living space disappears, emotion is difficult to attach to this kind of "placeless" space. Artists are using art as a media to create experiences, endure the emotion and to observe the surroundings in their daily life, which in order to create any life/living meaning in the city space.
